Janel Brune Named 2011 Nebraska Site Manager of The Year
Columbus, Neb. June 21, 2011 – United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development State Director Maxine Moul and staff presented Janel Brune with an award today for being selected as the 2011 Nebraska Site Manager of the Year for Elderly Housing. Brune, site manager for Arbor Place Apartments in Columbus since January 2006, received the award for her excellence in management, commitment to service, apartment maintenance and her diligence in building caring relationships with her tenants.
“USDA Rural Development Site Manager of the Year awards recognize and reward managers who demonstrate commitment to both the management of the complexes and to the tenants who occupy them,” said Moul. “Managers like Janel Brune assist us in accomplishing our mission of providing safe and affordable housing to rural Nebraskans.”
Arbor Place Apartments is a 24 unit complex with 26 tenants presently. During her time as manager, the Apartments experienced very few vacancies. Brune’s dedication to the tenants and the complex are visible by visiting the complex and by looking in the eyes of its’ tenants and hearing their comments when speaking of their friend.
USDA Rural Development accepted nominations from its field staff for managers of USDA Rural Development rural rental housing complexes. Nominations were based on tenant satisfaction, property curbside appeal, accurate and complete record keeping and consistent performance of actions above and beyond the call of duty. Keyway Management joined USDA Rural Development in the nomination of Brune.
